Kylian Mbappe has shared insights regarding transfer inquiries he received from German clubs during the early stages of his career. He acknowledged that several prominent Bundesliga teams sought to acquire him before he signed with Paris Saint-Germain.
The French striker, who currently plays for Real Madrid, disclosed that Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig expressed interest while he was still with AS Monaco, where he was emerging as one of Europe's most promising talents.
Bundesliga Clubs That Showed Interest
In an interview with a German publication, Mbappe recounted, "Bayern approached me when I was younger, and Monaco was open to letting me go. Dortmund also made inquiries, as did RB Leipzig. Those are the three clubs that stand out in my memory. There may have been others, but I can't recall them now. Everyone is interested now, but it's a bit too late."
Mbappe's Journey from PSG to Real Madrid
Ultimately, the young forward made a historic transfer to PSG in 2017, where he enjoyed a successful seven-year tenure, securing numerous league titles and solidifying his status as a global football icon. In 2024, Mbappe finally transitioned to Real Madrid, marking the end of a potential chapter in the Bundesliga.
